count a number of cells based on the beginning of a order number
I want to sum the number of products sold based on the different customers, or though the order numbers change the reference at the beginning of them does not.
.i.e Wellington, SW-003342 Auckland, SP-002241 Christchurch, SO-254985659 NZ, SK-004571 North Island, SB-520884 there will be multiple orders from each area so i want to have a cell that will count all the lines with SB,SK,SO,SP,SW in them. |

If you put the codes in H25 to H29, you could use this array formula in I25:
=SUM(IF(LEFT(H$1:H$23,2)=H25,I$1:I$23,0)) then copy the formula down to I29.
