I have a couple programs that I have built in Excel that I use daily. One is for our home finances and one is a pretty elaborate program I built for work for creating quotations. Both programs have vlookup functions, multiple calculation fields, and other features that Excel offers.
A couple days ago, I was working with one of the programs and I noticed that when I was putting in entries, it was not updating figures. When I hit "save", then the calculations would update. I thought perhaps it was my desk top as it is probably going to need to be replaced soon, so I put the file on a thumb drive and moved it to my laptop. Same exact thing happened, nothing would update unless I hit "save". This is happening on both of those files. I have my macro security set to medium, but I don't think it is my macros as my "print" buttons function. I have also checked my equations, functions, and calculators and they have not changed. I am a bit bewildered as I don't know how a program could simply stop working when it is built primarily on "if,then" and "true, false". Has anyone experienced this and does anyone have an idea for a solution? I am running Excel 2002, SP3. |
