How to sort in excel!?
Hi there,
Hope you are doing well, I have a problem with sorting in excel, As you can si in a screenshoot below I have an excel file with some colons, and last one is " MailServerCountryCode" you see "US, KR, JP, etc ("I have also a lot of this, but this is as demo" ) Problem: I want to sort from this colon "MailServerCountryCode" I want to separate only 5 people from Colon" MailServerCountryCode " US, KR, JP, etc So 5 people from mail server US 5 from KR 5 from JP, after this sort to continue the same sort 5 by 5 but not those which we sort only others below and below till finish. Hope it's clear. I know it's a big problem hope you can help me. PS. One solution is to select the colon" MailServerCountryCode " and te click remove duplicates then people from them to separate on another group than to go again remove duplicates and again remove duplicates but this takes tame and needs manually to do that. Not clear to me.
Your best shot at a solution would be to attach a file here in the forum with two sheets, the first being the sheet you picture as the example and the second being what you want the results to be. Have you tried using the macro recorder to record the 'one solution is' that you describe ? Please include links to your cross posts. http://www.excelguru.ca/content.php?184 |

NoSparks thank you,
VIDEO - https://streamable.com/irtu5 This si one solution, but as you may see I get only 5 or 10 contacts unique from this method, and to do it, again and again, takes time I need this to be more easy, to get Uniques, Also, this solution is only for one US one for KR. I need 5 by 5 for each one, Hope you understand now, Thank you. |

Your title says sort but I don't see anything being sorted.
It appears your desire is to display the first 5 records of filtered data. If so, you'll need them copied to a different sheet. Is that what you're after ? |

NoSparks Yes, or to be more accurate, 1 need first unique values, then again unique values under first one.

What is your definition of unique ?
Each record has 9 fields, what determines unique ? Your sample data has 307 records with CountryCode KR, how do you determine which 5 to display ? |
