Default Excel 2016 Crashing

Hi,

I am having issues with Microsoft Office 2016.

Every so often, it refuses to save, and just crashes.

Anybody know how I can fix this please?

Office never seems to update anymore, so how should I fix this?

The problem seems to have got worse since Windows 10 did the Creators Update.

Really annoying....

Thanks

EDIT - Once each workbook has been opened, if I then Save it - it crashes, but when I reopen it, it seems to be OK, and doesn't crash again. I do have to open each workbook though.

Have you tried repairing the Office installation (via Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office (version) > Change > Repair)?

I thought about several options:
1. Completely uninstall office 2016, then reinstall it.
2. If fails to fix, roll back Windows to before the CU.
3. If fails to fix still, uninstall 2016, and put 2013 back on.

But first try will be the "repair".
(It IS up to date btw- found how to check)

Thanks
