Reset start page?
Win7 + Office 07
Previously under Vista with the same Office ver I had created a worksheet as my starting opening sheet that included various specific settings. After upgrading to Win7 (maintaining the same Office ver) that sheet no longer loads. Now I've forgotten both the directory that the file was in and the name of the file. I searched the computer for *.xls and found no file that looked familiar as a starting template sheet. Any suggestions on the file name (thinking Excel only like a certain filename and starting directory) and directory? Thanks, Mark |

These are the folders:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Office10\Xlstart C:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\Xlstart Check this out. This may help. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291218 Chaitanya |

Thanks. Although the page only describes as far as XP, the XP directive works fine for Win7. Rather than try to find my earlier template, I just loaded a file that used the template, cleared the data, renamed the file .xlt and all is now good.
