Default Managing multiple projects in one document

In advance, let me say - Thank you for all of your help.

I’m sorry if this has been answered before. I’m not sure what I should search on to see if this has been discussed.

I’m trying to figure out if this can be done in Excel, and if so, how do I do this. I have 10 BA’s that work for me, and, at any one time, each BA may have several projects. Each project will have several milestone dates that can last a day or up to a week.

What I am trying to do is manage each BA and their projects and see which BA could take on a new project based upon the new projects milestone dates.

Is there a way to see all BAs and their projects by date in one spreadsheet in a calendar or Timeline chart format? And I need to be able to update the spreadsheet with each new project and have it automatically update the calendar or chart.

Thank you for all of your help.

Joe

Hi and welcome,
wouldn't it be easier to use a project oriented application like MSProject?

Pecoflyer - Thank you. I totally agree. I would love to use MS Project but a limitation I have is the cost conscious company that I work for. So I have to figure out an alternative method to track and manage BAs and their projects.

Typical short-sightedness. A US$30/month or US$590 outright investment in the appropriate software (Project) will more than pay for itself in a fairly short time. See: https://products.office.com/en-us/pr...are?tab=tabs-1

I know... I know... preaching to the choir.

I'd buy it myself but they've locked down our PCs. We can't download software.
