Default viewing completed goal seek formula

Hello,
How do I view a what if analysis/goal seek formula once it has been entered into a cell? I have attached a file. The goal seek was calculated in cell B5 and the amount appears in cell B4. However, when I click on cell B5, I only the the average of the cells and not the goal seek formula. Thank you

Two ways to see the formula:

#1, Left click once in B5 and view the formula in the Formula Bar above.

#2, Double click B5, formula shows.

thank you for the quick reply, but when I choose the options you mentioned, Excel only shows the "=B2+B3*B4" formula and not the goal seek box I am looking to reopen (please see attachment).

Obviously I misunderstood your question. Apologies.

I don't know about clicking or double-clicking the cell but here is a sure fire way to see the Goal Seek window :

On the Data tab, in the Data Tools group, click What-If Analysis, and then click Goal Seek.

May not be what you are wanting ... but it's all I know. Perhaps someone else has a better way ?

Thank you again for the reply, but I already tried this. Please look at example (e.g. test) file I send and look at the cells I referenced. When I followed the steps you mentioned, it give me a clean goal seek dialogue box and does not show the goal seek that was previously entered.

I think you are always going to get a clean goal seek dialogue box when selecting goal seek again.

At least from what I understand, that's the purpose of goal seek. Seek out a solution an Excel presents that result.

Like Logit, not really sure what you are tying to achieve. Hope I helped at all...

I thank you everyone for your replies and willingness to help. This is the same road block I ran into. Although the formula in B5 comes up, it still does not show the original formula that was entered in goal seek. The reason why I want to access this is because I am a college instructor who is trying to correct homework, and want to make sure that students are entering the correct formulas vs. manually entering the amount in B4. Thank you again.
