force formula calc to manual when opening any workbook
hi, I need to have excel open any existing workbook with formula calculation set to 'manual'. I've added a workbook with manual setting to my xlstart folder, which works great for getting the setting to manual automatically when a user opens a workbook with excel not already open. but the only way I can think of to have excel set the setting to manual when opening any workbook regardless of whether excel is already open or not is to tie the action of manual setting to any 'open' event. or maybe there is another way? please advise. thank you. - john |
