Default Excel scatter chart with smooth lines

Good morning

I have to present data in a scatter chart with smooth lines. However, one set of data's scatter chart don't have smooth lines but steps at 90-degree angles. See attached file. How can I change the chart to have smooth lines and not steps?

The line is going to follow the stepped data regardless if it is smoothed or not. All smoothing does is soften the angles between data points. How do you want it to look? Like a straight line. If so, add a trend line. If all you want is the trend line, you can format the data line to display no line.
