Default Insert Static Date when another cell is changed.

Good Morning. I am needing some help with inserting a static date. I have my sheet setup where Column C is a pulldown menu for cells C5-C99 with the options of Not Started, In Progress, and Completed. When the cell changes to completed I want Column F to populate the static date in the same row.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yes... can it be set up so that if the status is changed back to Not Started or In Progress that the date disappears? I know it seems trivial but it would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Please forget all about #4 and #5 (my confusion).

The code in the attached file (slightly adjusted) is from:
