Default Automatic Update of links has been disabled:

Afternoon folks, hope you can lend some thought to this.

The boss came to me this morning and said "Can we disable this?" Naturaly i said easy enough matter but we would be killing it outright. SO what Ive been asked to look into is if this can be disabled for links to our local domain

Thats the lark, any suggestions?
