Hi, I don't really know how to ask this as I am not too sure on the Excel Terms. I want to be able to find all the words that begin with the first 3 letters and or Space, then I want to be able to calculate the sum of the cells link to that cell, I have attach a sample to clarify I hope LOL What I mean. I have looked at your sheet and I can't puzzle out what words you are referring to.
But what you probably need to do is something along the line of =Left(A1;3) which will give you the first three characters of the referenced cell. Then you need to combine that with a SUMIF function. /Møller |

Perhaps something like =SUMPRODUCT((LEFT($A$2:$A$24,3)="PF6")*$H$2:$Q$24)
