Coditional formating percentage of figure
I have a cell D3 which displays 2000kg and I have another cell D11 which displays a sum from a formula using the 2000kg I would like the cell D11 to change colour if it is =to or less than ten percent of the total of cell D3 I have entered the formula =D11<0.1*D3 it presently changes to red constantly what am I doing wrong

Your problem is probably due to the fact that you are using merged cells. These are known to cause more trouble than they are worth.
Unmerge the cells and try again. If needed for cosmetic reasons You can always reformat with horizontal alignment - Center across selection and Vertical alignment - Center

Try in an empty cell to enter =D1.
I 100% agree with Pecoflyer on merged cells. If it was up to me Merge & Center should be forbidden. |
