Default Spreadsheet keeps crashing

I have more of a data handling question. I have a large spreadsheet that I am pulling in data from a server, sometimes for as far back as 1 year, depending on the time increment it could be over 10,000 records per column. I have multiple columns and multiple sheets where this is happening.

My question is am I better off using a spreadsheet just to handle the data acquisition and another one for all the additional calculations, and possibly a third for all the graphs? I guess I am thinking if I break this up more it will be more stable. Thank you for your input.

You'd probably be better off using purpose-designed software for analysing the data on the server instead of trying to load it into Excel to analyse there.

What about a tiny response to the below question you asked on the 13th June 2016?

Auto update excel graph range, ignore data when date reads 00-Month-00

I don't see the option under thread tools to mark thread as solved.

Done. As Mod I see it, don't know about users, but I think it should be there.
