Default Indirect not working in Conditional Formatting

The "Indirect" formula doesn't work in the Conditional Formatting in Columns B & C (Version: 2007), but it works in Excel 2010.

Please see the attached file. _Indirect-ConditionalFormatting.xlsx

Thank you.

@tinfanide
Please do not quote entire posts unnecessarily. They are just clutter and make threads hard to read. Thx

@xor

But why:

Code:
INDIRECT("S"&'1A'!$B$8&"_Tbl[@Group]")
' S1A1A_Tbl
"1A" is repeated? (The table name should be "S1A_Tbl")

I don't know what you are talking about.

Have now made the conditional formatting in sheet 1A!E2:E6 and the formula is like follows:

=(INDIRECT("S"&$B$8&"_Tbl[@Group]")<>"a")*(INDIRECT("S"&$B$8&"_Tbl[@Group]")<>"b")=1

It would be nice of you if you gave just a tiny response as to whether you could use my answer, and if not - why?

Lack of any response is about the worst of all. As an Expert I think you should know that.

I'm sorry. It's not proper manner to reply so late to people like you helping random guys. I'm really sorry work's been so busy that I could hardly post here. Really sorry.

A few days ago I tested it in the workplace. The problem is at home (Excel 2010) it (conditional formatting) works but in Excel 2007, the formatting doesn't.

There was an error in the conditional formatting formula so please use the attached file instead.

Are you talking about the red highlighted cell? If so, then it works in my workplace (Excel 2007). Thank you for your solution.

It seems that structured referencing does not work in the conditional formatting in Excel 2007.
