Change houre notation when wrong notation is entered
Hello,
I am working on a file that (a lot of) other people have to fill in, it's all about starting hours and ending hours of workshifts etc... So now I programmed everything in excel 2013 so I can do calculations with the entered houres. One rule is that everything has to be filled out in the form of "xx:xx", e.g. "17:00". But people are using everything as notation: "17h", "17h00", even "1700"... My question now is: is there a way to change all these notations to "17:00" automatically? I have been telling the people that they need to put it that specific way, but they're hard learners apparently... Just wondering if my question is possible or not? Thanks in advance! dlquinte |

Hi
converting all possible entries could be difficult and would need VBA ( if doable) OTH you can try using Data Validation to force the user to enter the proper format
