Default Problem with Microsoft Excel 2002 File Saving

I'm running Windows 10 Pro. I installed Microsoft Excel 2002 and noticed if I tried to copy a saved file from one location to another it would bring up an older version of the file. If I use file explorer I don't see the older file. If I go thru excel to open the file I will see the older and the newer file.

According to Microsoft, Office 2003 & earlier are not compatible with Windows 10. Office 2002 hasn't even been supported at all since July 12, 2011 - nearly 5 years ago, now. That said, you might try repairing the office installation, via Help|Detect & Repair.

I understand that but the problem didn't exist in Windows 7. I'll try the repair.

That's hardly relevant, as Office 2002 was supported on Windows 7. Windows 10 is two generations later and didn't even exist until 4 years after the Office 2002 support life cycle ended.
