Need help with using traffic lights in one cell based on date value in a different cell
So, I am trying to use the traffic lights to help with something I am working on in Excel. What I need is the following:
Based on the date in A1 (for example), I need the : green traffic light if 30 days out from today (the current date) yellow traffic light if between 15 and 29 days out from today (the current date) red traffic light if between 1 and 15 days out from today (the current date) black traffic light if greater than 30 days out from today (the current date) So, if today is 4/5/2016 and the date in column A1 is 30 days from today the stop light should be green. Likewise, if the date in column A1 is 31 and greater days from today, the stop light should be black and so on for the rest. Anybody out there who can help me figure this out? |

Sounds to me as though you have most of it already figured out. I gather you already know where to find the traffic lights, and you know which cell is to provide the data. What are you missing?
Maybe you should explain what you've done so far, and where you get stopped. Oh, and what version of Excel are you using? |
