Talking PerformancePoint or Access

I am attempting to revamp complex and archaic Excel spreadsheets used for quarterly reporting. Individual departments supply some input which "rolls up" to the Strategic Planning Department for more manipulation.

To promote efficiency and reduce the chance of input errors, I want to create input forms and have the data "transferred" to an Excel sheet or Access database. Further machinations are required (currently in Excel and summarized)

I can import and extract data using Access and know nothing about Performance Point other than cursory information on YouTube.

Suggestions, Please,

Zippy

If this is going to turn into a question about Performance Point—I don't know what that is—the only suggestion I can think of is that you post it on a Performance-Point forum :-).

If its meant to be an Excel question ... well, what is the question? I can't make it out.

PerformancePoint was a business intelligence product released as part of Microsoft Office in 2007 and discontinued in 2009, so I doubt it will be of much help for whatever you're wanting to do. PerformancePoint's dashboard, scorecard, and analytics capabilities have since been incorporated into Microsoft SharePoint.

Like Bob, though, I can't see what your Excel question is. If the unstated question is about Access, please post it at AccessForum.net: http://www.accessforums.net/
