Hi!
I've worked on a worksheet with several =INDIRECT commands.
Now when I open the worksheet a month later they won't work.
They worked pefektly when I created the worksheet.
And when I try to open a new worksheet and write:

A1:1
A2:=INDIRECT($A$1)
I get #REF-error.
This is a correct command, isn't it?
Or do I have a total brain loss?
Or does my computer play me tricks?

Hi zleyphox,

INDIRECT returns the reference specified by a "text string".

If you try:
A1:1
A2:=INDIRECT($A$1)

Excel will return a #REF! error because "1" is not a valid reference to a cell.

Try it this way:

=INDIRECT("$A$1")

and it should work.

Cheers,
