how to fill a series of dates

hey, every time i try to do a autofill for a serious of dates having from 2010 to 2016 it just repeats all the way down to 2010.

Select the cell with your start date.
Click Fill (on the Ribbon, Editing group) and click Series.
Select Columns.
Choose Date Unit, Step Value and type your last date
Click OK.
