Default Work out time duration between 2 dates and exclude weekends

Hi,

I am new to excel and i was wondering the ways to find out the difference between two date/time but it should exclude weekends.

A1
04/03/16 10:00

A2
07/03/16 10:15

The two cells A1/A2 have been formatted to record DD/MM/YY HH:MM (inputted manually).
The answer A2-A1= 3 days, 0hrs 15mins however, I want Excel to automatically exclude the weekend so that the real answer is 1 day, 0hrs 15mins.

I know a little about the NETWORKDAY / INTL functions but they did not work correctly.
Now I know there are ways to add optional holidays, but because the optional holidays occur rarely, I want to keep it really simple and basic and perhaps add another function to record those odd bank holidays.

Please help!
