formula using equals/greater than etc signs

dear all

please correct the following formula:

=if(g8=>80 and <84,30)

the result should appear in g9

Try this
G9 =IF(AND(G8>=80,G8<84),30)

returns False if G8 less than 80 or G8 more than or equal to 84

What is the FALSE result?
