What is it you want to protect? The data? If so, use Format Cells: Protection.

I want a sheet where data is entered, but just one column is blocked from having data entered. I can;t seem to find a way to do this.

Select the entire sheet. Format Cells: Protection > Uncheck the Locked toggle.

Select the column you want to protect. Format Cells: Protection > Check the Locked toggle.

Review: Protect Sheet (enter password if you want)
