How to stop correcting zeroes in cells ?

Hello,
I want to stop excel from correcting zeroes.

For example, when I type 0456 in a cell, then excel corrects it to 456.
How to stop this from happening ?

highlight the cell or cells
go to "format/text" "enter"

Thanks for the reply, but there is some confusion :

Where can I find this ? "Format/text" .... enter"

Is it located in the context menu when we right click a cell ?

Right click on the cell, select "Format Cells", then select "Text" under the tab "Number".
