Default How to restore identification of password protected excel file

My password protected xlsx Office2007 file became corrupted.
I'm getting " can't open .... file format or extension is invalid ..." error message from the Excel.

The system or the Excel can't identify the file as a protected one.
I assume the file "body" the contained data are intact but the file information (header or descriptor or whatever ) corrupted
The password is known, so I'ts not about hacking.

I've made many unsuccessful attempt and tried different ways and 4-5 different tools to recover the file.
The common methods, automatic repair, rename to zip etc. are useless too.

So How can I restore the file information and get back the access to my file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
