8 in 24 hours time formula
Using date and time to be able to look back within 24 hours to see how many hours worked.
I.e. Worked from yesterday 1200-1415 and then from 1530-1730. This would equal out to 4:15. If i am scheduled to work at 0800-1200 today, i would not be legal to start work until 0815 using a lookback formula. A1 cell has start date and time A2 cell has end date and time A3 cell has start date and time A4 cell has start date and time Above are yesterdays A5 would show the calc of when the legal time to start today. Anybody have an idea. Thanks in advance |

Can you post the sample data and expected results. That would help in creating the formula.

I know this got put down on the list, resurrecting. Anybody have an idea.
A1 has yesterdays date. i.e. 1/9/2016 12:00pm A2 has yesterdays date. i.e. 1/9/2016 2:15pm A3 has yesterdays date. i.e. 1/9/2016. 3:30pm A4 has yesterdays date. i.e. 1/9/2016 5:30pm This for legal work: cannot legally work more than 8 hours in a 24 hour rolling period. A5 would have todays date. 1/10/2016 8:15am ( this cell would do the calculation to show what date and time it would be legal to start). Any help or idea would be greatly appreciated |

I'm not clear on what you are trying to accomplish. Are A1 and A3 start times and A2 and A4 end times? If so, then there are only 4.25 hours worked.
Why does A5 have today's date, 8:15 am? I don't understand the logic that leads to it. |

A2 is an end date and time A3 is another start date and time A4 is another start date and time Total time working is 4:15. Usual block times are 4:00 So, the next day i have scheduled a block from 08:00am till 12:00pm. In 24 hours i would have worked 8:15. The formula i need help with would show my legal start time is 1/10/2016 8:15am. The block would be 08:15am till 12:15 pm. I appreciate you looking into this to help me |

Sorry. I don't understand. You have three start times and only one end time?
