Default IF command in MS Excel 2010

Hi

I am trying to use the IF command to return a result of "Pass" for a cell giving a numeric value in the range 13 to 99 and "FAIL" outside these values. I seem to be failing miserably! Can anyone help please as I have no hair left to pull out.

Perhaps =IF(and(A1>13,a1<99),"pass","fail") if your cell is A1

Thank you worked perfectly, I wish I had joined the forum earlier. Thank you for such a rapid response also. There are lots of other questions around this theme, like can I change the colour of the cell say Red for Fail and Green for pass. Should I post this question in a new thread? I am new to forums as well as Excel.
