Windows7 + Office '07
I copied a worksheet to a blank (tab) worksheet for the purpose of using that which I copied as the framework for the new, similar worksheet. To copy I clicked on the box at the upper left corner intersection of the columns and rows that causes all of the sheet to go highlighted to ensure that I was copying all. All did copy EXCEPT all of the print page setup characteristics. I had to re-enter all. Is there a way to have the page print settings copy along with all other data and cell settings? Thanks, Mark |

Try right clicking on the original sheet and selecting 'move or copy'. At the top of the small window that opens click on move to and 'new book' or any other workbook that is open including the original. Be sure to select the 'create copy' box at the bottom unles you want to move the sheet and not leave a copy behind. You can also use this to move/copy sheets between a workbook which is useful if you have hundreds of sheets in one book (like I often have!) and want a sheet moved/copied next to another one far away.

I tried right clicking within the original spreadsheet, also in the upper left corner that selects the entire sheet and the copy icon on the ribbon (Excel '07) and in all instances there was no 'window' that opened providing a destination choice as you suggest?

Hi markg2,
It requires you to click on the actul sheet tab itself at the bottom left of excel. So in a brand new workbook for example you would right click on "Sheet1" tab at the bottom left of the screen. Make sense? |
