Default Print with hidden cols?

When I hide columns of a spreadsheet then print that spreadsheet the print output seems to still think the hidden columns are present and leaves large gapes within the print output pages. I tried to reset page breaks after hiding and before printing but the page break view would not allow for change.

Is there a way to reset the print output after hiding columns so that the print page has all columns adjacent to each other and no blanks for phantom columns?

Thanks,

Mark

I put some text in three columns and right clicked on the middle column and hid it. Then I clicked print. There was no gaps like you suggest. I personally prefer to use (in Office 2007) Page Layout tab - Print Area - Set print area (after highlighting what you want to print). Then set the paper size and orientation and that saves the settings for any future printing from that sheet. Perhaps try that instead of page breaks as there shouldn't be any gaps. You can upload your file here if you want for me to check.

Hmm, I always set the print area first, then page orientation and 'fit to' sheets and lastly move around the page breaks. Possibly I needed to reset the print area after hiding the columns? It's a moot point for now since I redesigned the spreadsheet so as to avoid having to hide columns.

Thanks,

Mark
