dear mr gebobs
thanks a lot. tried and succeeded. at this time, i would also be thankful if you guide me in editing a formula by pressing f2 key. when i press the f2 button, a vertical graph like thing appears. in excel 2003, if pressed f2, the contents of that particular cell (text, number or formula) appears with the cursor at the right end of the cell. i am unable to find a solution for this. m s narayanan |

Gebobs I think OP wonders why default behavior of the F2 button is not the same in 2003 and 2013

after many attemps, i could get the clue: i pressed Fn+f2 keys, the cell shows the contens - ready for editing. this is for the information for all those who faced the similar problem. m s narayanan |
