Default using if and nested vlookup

Hi,
I have an insurance table which I've just received. I need to look up a particular figure based upon Either Plan A,B,or C. Then I need to Choose the age,ie age 25. From there I need to choose either EE (employee only) or ES (Employee + spouse). From these criteria I get a specific feedback or figure.

I've attached the spreadsheet Book 1. as an example. What I want to do is to be able to use the three factors: Plan Type, Age, and EE/ES to lookup the figure.

I'm a veritable newby at this have tried a few combinations that I've found on the internet, but with little success.

Can anyone help with this.

Hi
there seems to be something missing in your attachment. There are only a column with numbers and some headers.

Default nested ifs or match / choose

Good morning.

I understand. I'm a newby at this. The columns are figures based upon choices.

I need to be able to choose a criteria: Plan A, Plan B, Or Plan C. Under those headings I need to be able to choose Age: 18-65. And under each age I need to choose EE (employee only) or ES (Employee and spouse).

Given those choices it brings back a figure, which are represented by the columns: AGE, EE-A,EE + SP-A and so on.

I've tried to use vlookup for example using =IF(C9="A", and so on.

I'm sure this is a simple formula, but I'm having problems figuring out how to express it and be able to allow for 3 different inputs/criteria.

Any ideas? maybe an example where I might be able to figure it out?

T

Perhaps it's a simple formula, but your table is completely empty

There is no relation between the plan, the age, the status, etc..

You talk about =IF(C9="a" but in your example c9 is empty? ( or am I missing something

Default vlookup on multiple criteria

Hi,

What I'm trying to do: I have an insurance table of values.

If a person chooses Plan A, Or Plan B, Or Plan C they need to be able to choose another criteria. 2nd, they choose age, 18-65, Thirdly, they choose either EE or ES (Employee or Employee + Spouse).

Given these choices the table needs to bring back a value for those criteria.

Can I use Match/Choose or Vlookup with concatenation?

I guess I could fool around with more and more, but I thought this is probably a simple problem for all the guru's out there. I'm still learning Excel and how to use it. I rarely use it in this form, mostly the basics.

Any ideas on this one?

Default Vlookup or Index/match

I've tried a few options on this one but can't find the right formula's to give me what I need.

I've included the spreadsheet. I want to be able to put in the Plan: A,B, OR C, then put in the AGE: 18-25, then put it the EE or ES. From this I need to lookup a figure and bring it back.

I'm doing this kind of spreadsheet for 3 states with different figures, but the same plans,age,EE/ES setup.

Any ideas?
