I'm using Excel 2010
The attached spreadsheet contains a data link that no longer exists (the file has been overwritten). However, when I go to Edit Links (in the Data tab), I am unable to break the data link. There is VBA macro code, but I have looked and there doesn't appear to be any reference to the old spreadsheet. Any ideas on what is causing this, and how to fix it? Thanks! Doug |

Hi Doug,
Usually, the links can be found not only in cells formulas. You should always check in the list of defined names, at list that's what i did. There is a name: Analysis, which refers to: ='C:\Doug D\TPU Excel Forms\HRMP\[HRMP Questionnaire SmartForm.Macro.xlsm]Validations'!$F$2:$F$6 If the list in this workbook, remove the external link: Validations'!$F$2:$F$6 Also, links can "hide" in hyperlinks associated with shapes. Cheers, Catalin |
