Default Count from another workbook

Hi All,
I have 2 workbooks set up. I currently have them named as Pipeline Test and Caseload Test.

On the Caseload test i want to use a count formula, and count how many times 1 person's name appears in Column I on the Pipeline Test workbook if Column M has "Yes" in the cell.

So i was thinking i would need a COUNTIF and AND formula to get this to work. I may be going to wrong way with this formula, so any help will be appreciated

Basically the Pipeline Test workbook will show what we have due in and who that has been allocated to, and the Caseload test will count 1 persons name to see what is due in for them (obviously the number will change as more gets added to the Pipeline Test workbook).
The Pipeline Test currently has each row highlighted a colour if it has come in, but i dont know if we can use a formula to only count the ones not highlighted in a colour and are due to come in

Hopefully this all makes sense, i have tried to add in as much information to make it easier to understand what i am trying to do

Thanks

teza2k06,

When you say two workbooks do you mean two workbooks or two sheets within the same workbook?

Assuming Names in A and count in B within the sheet of Caseload Test workbook and ‘Cases’ (edit to suit ) is the sheet name within the workbook ‘Pipeline Test’ then….

Eg in B2

=COUNTIFS('[Pipeline Test]Cases'!I2:I1000,'Caseload Test'!A2,'[Pipeline Test]Cases'!M2:M1000,"Yes”)

and copy down.
