Default Issue where unable to edit formula bar, or use arrow keys in cell.

Hello, using Excel 2013 I have came across a strange issue where when clicking on a cell, then trying to click the formula bar to edit, it will be grayed out. You can double click the cell to edit, but if you try to move the cursor with the arrow keys, it will not move away from the far left.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

What is grayed out? The formula bar or the cell? Is the sheet protected? Can you attach the sheet?

Thanks for the reply. I unfortunately can not attach it, as it is a company financial document, I will see if I can remove some of what is in it.

As for being grayed out, the formula bar ends up being, but not the cell. You can double click in the cell, as if you were to edit it, but then if you use the keyboard to try and move to the right, the cursor stays at the far left. If you move it with the mouse and try to edit, it just goes back to the left again.

It might be something with the PC perhaps, but not sure how, as it only happens in excel, but if you alt tab and go back to the sheet again, it may then let you edit the cell and formula bar again. Very strange.

Delete all the data except one cell with the issue.
