Counting Blanks in 1 Column and Non-Blanks in Another
Hi,
I have a spreadsheet with two columns, A and B, with 100 entries. All I want to do is count: for those rows in A that are NOT blank, how many rows in B are blank. When I try using COUNTIFS, ISBLANK, "", and so on, I keep getting error messages, especially that I have circular references. Thanks very much! |

Perhaps
Code:
=SUMPRODUCT((A1:A100<>"")*(b1:b100=""))

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I still get an error message that there is a circular reference - that doesn't make sense to me, but that's what I get.

Quick update - your suggestion worked! I have a lot of blank rows at the top of the two columns and I realized that I placed the formula in one of those rows.

Glad it helped
