Timesheet formula help
I have a very basic spreadsheet that I use to keep track of my hours at work. I have it set up in 5 day work weeks per tab. I have the calendar date at the top of each days column and I have the first day (monday) linked to the previous Monday ( i.e. =SUM('09.21.09'!B1+7) where 09.21.09 is the tab name for the previous week and I'm adding 7 days to the value of the date in field B1).
What I'd like to do is make it a little more automated. When I make a new copy of a blank timesheet tab, I'd like that formulate to automatically be directed to the previous tab, instead of having to link the formula each time I make a new tab. Does anyone know if this is possible? I have attached a sample of the spreadsheet that I'm talking about. Thanks in advance. Beardking |

Hi beardking,
I'm sorry that I can't help you with the formulas, but I can recommend you a good working hours timesheet for 5 days. http://spreadsheetzone.com/templateview.aspx?i=109 It can give an idea on how to create your own spreadsheet, I suppose. Suzzy |

Hi Beardking,
To my knowledge, it is not possible to look at 'previous' sheet just by using functions. But what you can do is to write code that will 'find out the current spreadsheet' and then look for 'previous' spreadsheet and get the date from there. If I were you, I would do this manually as this is minor work (please correct me if I am wrong). Regards, Chaitanya Last edited by Matrix; 11-16-2009 at 09:36 PM. |
