Default Excel Charting : Adding Series issue

Issue: If I want to add a series to an existing chart, I can select add, but then I can only click in one box (series name, X, Y) at a time. Example, I add a new series I have to select "Name" then save, then click edit, click on "x-series" then save, then click edit, then click on "y-series". I can not edit all three boxes at the same time.

History: I have two computers with the same issue. When I got the second new computer I "transferred/migrated" to the new computer. Installed office 2010 and both computers have this issue. Then I decided to completely uninstall MSOFFICE 2010 on the new computer. After uninstalling, I installed office 2013. Same thing is observed on excel for office 2013. I am the only one in the office who has this issue.

Notes: The outlook 2013 installed effortlessly after uninstalling 2010. It "remembered" all my email settings which surprised me.

I would be willing to uninstall 2013, but is there a way for office to do a clean virgin install?
