Default Ms Excel is not getting updates from other excel file on FTP environment.

I have two excel files, both are linked to each other. If open 1 excel workbook it update data from other excel workbook in local pc correctly.

I put both excel files on FTP server. If open 1 excel workbook it’s gives error “Workbook 2.xls is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the files resides”.
I have tried to change the path from local pc to FTP server but I am unable to do it.

Can anyone help how to assign network path?
