I'm not 100% sure if this will work for dropdown boxes, but it works for removing checkboxes, so it's worth a shot.
Press the F5 key Click Special Select Objects Click OK At this point, the dropdown box should be highlighted Press the Delete key to remove it Hope that works for you!
