Default Vlookup formula

I am needing help with a Vlookup if it is possible.

I have a spreadsheet with names, First Name in Column A, Surname in Column B, and Column C as ID Number. The only 2 fields that are filled out as A&B(their names).

I run a report which opens another spreadsheet which shows their name and the ID Number, now instead of manually typing the ID from one spreadsheet to another i was hoping i could use a vlookup(or something) to find the first name and surname on the report and it then add their ID to my spreadsheet

I think i have made the above understandable, if it is not possible to use vlookup, then can you suggest something. Im not an expert with excel so i may need a hand

Thanks
