Tweaking preset pivot table styles
Excel 2007.
I'm utilizing Excel's preset pivot table styles. While it makes formatting easy, I can't seem to make further changes, mostly with grouped items. (1) Is there any way to get rid of the "+" button in front of a group, or at least make it invisible? When I copy and paste a pivot table into another application - like Word - the "+" button becomes too conspicuous, especially against other rows or columns that are not grouped. (2) Grouped rows take on bolder font. Can I un-bold them? Nothing happens even when I click on the bold button in the Home tab. Again, the grouped rows become too conspicuous when I copy & paste the pivot table into other application. |

Re the first question
"1) Is there any way to get rid of the "+" button in front of a group, or at least make it invisible? When I copy and paste a pivot table into another application - like Word - the "+" button becomes too conspicuous, especially against other rows or columns that are not grouped." Pivot table options -> display -> then untick the show expand/collapse buttons Can't help you with question 2 ! |
