Default Copy Column setting to other spreadsheets in an excel workbook

Hi

I have adjusted the column width for each column in a spreadsheet and I want to apply this setting for all other spreadsheets in the same workbook.

How do I do that?

Any suggestion would be grateful.

Is there already some data in your sheets ?
The easiest way is to group sheets by clicking all necessary tabs while holding down the shift key
Any change on the first sheet is then reflected on the others.
Do not forget to ungroup when you're done

Peco, I've never heard of that, but it sounds useful. Does it copy data, too? I mean, when I have several sheets grouped as you describe it and then type a new value into A1, does A1 change on the other sheets too? Or does this apply only to cell size, items in the Format-Cells dialogue etc?

No, it applies to anything that happens, I think.

@officeboy BTW to group contiguous tabs, select the first and the last while holding the Shift key down.
For non contiguous tabs, hold the Ctrl key down

Thanks! I only adjusted the column widths on the 1st sheet so it now has all specific widths for the columns in use. But it seems too late now, because grouping the worksheets should be done before doing column width adjustment.

Is there way to apply the column width setting to other worksheet afterward, say when you suddenly find your workbook needs to include one more worksheet?

Yes there also is.
Select all sheets that should be adapted, as described earlier. Go to the first sheet select and right click the column that has been changed.
Select "Column width". Click OK without doing anything else -
