Have following in A1



"Bloggs,Joe" < Joebloggs@gmail.com>

want to seperate so have

A1" Bloggs ,Joe"

B1 Joebloggs@gmail.com

any suggestions appreciated

Select the column with Data
Data - Text to columns - Check "Delimited" - Next
Check"space" - Check " others and enter > -Next
Select the column containing the < and check " do not import"
Finish

works great for A1 but how do I do it for A1 to A100 ???
New to this game sorry

What you can do is this:

Select all data: replace all " for nothing.
you will get: Bloggs, Joe <bloggsjoe@gmail.com>

Select all data: replace all > for nothing
you will get: Bloggs, Joe <bloggsjoe@gmail.com

Write in B1: =LEFT(A1;SEARCH(" <";A1;1))
(you might need to change the seperator ; for ,)

Write in C1: =RIGHT(A1;LEN(A1)-FIND("<";A1))
(you might need to change the seperator ; for ,)


Drag that to B100 and to C100

If you read my post carefully it begins with " select the column with the data"...Thus, select a1:a100 and perform the suggested solution
