Hi
You can import a text file into Excel and specify the delimiters in excel from your text file. As for formatting it will use the default formatting in your worksheet. Follow these steps: Click on the Data menu in your worksheet. Click on From Text Navigate to your text file Click on Import Choose Delimited Click on Next Choose the delimiter used in your text file Click on Finish Hope this helps. Good luck. Tony |

Hi
As the data already appears to be in columns in your text file have you tried copying and pasting into Excel? If that does not work is it possible to post a sample of your file so I can take a look. Tony |

For Excel 2010 you could try:
Select your text, and copy it. Then Paste that into an open Excel Spreadsheet. Select all (in Excel) From Data, select Text to Columns. Follow the steps, and you should be able to preview what you will see. Excel wants to know what delimiters your data has (such as a comma, or a space). If you can capture and post a sample of the text, that would be best. HTH |
