Default If or help needed

hello everybody,

I have a cell that, based on a if or formula, should return 0 or 1.

The formula is

"=IF(OR('Limitations (2)'!I17<'Limitations (2)'!K17;'Limitations (2)'!I16<'Limitations (2)'!J16;'Limitations (2)'!I15<'Limitations (2)'!J15;'Limitations (2)'!I14<'Limitations (2)'!J14;'Limitations (2)'!I13<'Limitations (2)'!J13;'Limitations (2)'!I12<'Limitations (2)'!J12;'Limitations (2)'!I11<'Limitations (2)'!J11);1;0)"

the thing is that I don't get the result that I am looking for. What am I doing wrong?

what I am trying to write is "if any of the cells =< the the other then the result should be 1"

The first comparison compares cells in col I and col K while all others compare a cell from col I with col J
Is this correct?

S7y, you say you don't get the result you're looking for, but you don't say what you do get. What is the output of the function as you're using it now?

And by the way I'm used to using commas between arguments in a function; my copy of Excel claims that semicolons are an error. Maybe it's as simple as that ... unless you're using some international version that doesn't mind semicolons.

Hello Bob,

The result I get is 1 no matter what. Yes, I use semicolons and Excel doesn't mind them

Perhaps try
Code:
=IF(SUMPRODUCT(--(I17:I11<J17:J11));1;0)
Which kind of values to you have in these cells ?

If this does not work please post a small sample sheet
