Default Excel 2010/ office pro

I just created a document. It worked for a while when I reached Row 18 - it will not take any entry except if copy a cell with "=". after I copy I cannot change the Cell. I was able to high light the cell where I want to enter a number. As soon as I enter the number the high light goes to a different spot without adding the number.
I ran this morning PC optimization. The software clears the Registry also. I ran repair of the software without luck.
I copy pated the data on a new page without luck also.
Any help will be appreciated.
