Default Hi can somebody help me out?

Im working on a project and iverun into a brick wall.
I'm trying to code a cell, and what i want it to eventually do is basically:
if the value of cell A1 > the value of A2, then add 1 to B1
but every time A1>A2, just a 1 shows up, and every consecutive time A1>A2, i want it to ADD 1 to the value of the cell in B1, not just show that there is a 1 there.
can somebody help me fix it? thanks in advance

Are you trying to increment B1 every time A1>A2, or only to add 1 to whatever is there while A1>A2? If it's the former, you can't do it with a formula - you'd need a macro.

i just want to add 1 to whatever is in B1. like if A1>A2 then 1 will show up in B1, and if i did A3>A4 in another cell and wanted to add 1 to B1 again, it wont add 1 to it, it will jus tshow up as 1, over and over.

From what you describe, your formula (in a cell other than B1) should be:
=B1+(A1>A2)
or, if you're doing this directly in B1 and the default value is, say, 10:
=10+(A1>A2)
