Deleting grid lines but keeping the axis lines
Hi everyone,
I'm currently writing a scientific paper, and proper formatting dictates I shouldn't have gridlines in my graphs. I know how to delete grid lines, but the problem is when I remove the major horizontal gridlines, my x-axis line disappears too. I don't have this problem when I remove vertical gridlines (I added and removed vertical gridlines manually as a test, but the major horizontal gridlines are there by default when I create the graph). I'm using Excel for Mac 2011. Can anyone help? Thanks! Edit: Just wanted to note that I only have this problem with bar graphs, not with line graphs. I don't know if that helps shed more light on the problem? |
