I am at new job and have windows 7 32bit with office 2010.
Some of my co-workers have office 2007 on windows 7. We have a legacy excel file, that shows up explorer at excel 97-2003 workbook. The file has protections on it and no one knows the password. It has a few fields we can enter in numerical data and then in plots graphs / charts with that data. It has hidden calculations and such. Problem is this. When my co-worker opens on of these in excel 2007, the charts plot correctly and we get a nice graph. The scales of the axes change as necessary for the inputed data. When I open the same exact file from the same location, my chart appears blank and the scales always remain the same. I can enter data in all the allowed fields, but the chart never updates or changes. We save many of these with different data paramters. But we restricted in what we can edit. THis is very fustrating because this is tool I will be using a lot. If any one can suggest anything, that would be great. WHen it is opened in 2007 or 2010, it opens at compatibilty mode. I have tried various thing with changing the compatibility modes in my 2010 but have had no luck. THanks, SW |
